European mistletoe (Viscum album L.) is a type of semi-parasitic plant in the order Santalales that is native to the more temperate parts of the world (Great Britain and other parts of Europe). European mistletoe tends to grow most abundantly on the branches of a tree where it absorbs nutritional energy from the host shrub or tree.
